NORTH-EAST COAST

Beaches are ordered from the Southern to the Northern ones of the island.
Gouvia   Type: pebbles
Size: small-size
Facilities: beach-umbrellas and deck-chairs for rent
Activities: water sports and organised boat tours
Food: just behind the beach you can find many restaurants or snack bars in the tourist village of
Gouvia
Description: the beach is small but well equipped and Gouvia is one of the most developed village on Corfu island. From the beach there is a nice view over the bay and Ipapandi church.
Moreover in Gouvia there’s a very well organised port called "Gouvia Marina" that is next to some old Venetian ruins.
 

Dasia  

Type: sand and pebbles
Size: average dimensions, long and narrow
Facilities: beach-umbrellas and deck-chairs for rent
Activities: water sports, pedaloes and boats for rent
Food: you can choose between some snack bars on
the beach and others in the village behind
Description: Dasia beach is developed along the village, therefore it’s long and narrow.
In this part of the coast the sea is calm and from the bay you have a stunning view over Albanian mountains and coastline.
Moreover in the sea has been constructed a platform from which dive and which is the point of departure to make water sports.

 


Ipsos  

Type: sandy bay
Size: large dimensions, it is longer than wide
Facilities: beach-umbrellas and deck-chairs for rent and showers
Activities: water sports, pedalos, motor boats for rent and diving centre
Food: there are local restaurants and snack bar along the entire beach
Description: Ipsos beach is placed into a very large bay and the town is developed along the coast.
The sea is not deep, it is good for small children and the water is extraordinary clean.
If you have a boat consider that on the left side of this bay there’s a small pear.

 



Barbati  

Type: sand and pebbles all together
Size: it is of average-size but not very wide
Facilities: changing rooms, public showers, beach-umbrellas and deck-chairs for rent
Activities: there are two motorboats rentals and water sports like Banana
Food: there are restaurants and small bars both on the beach and in the village of Barbati
Description: this is one of the several beaches in Corfu that obtained the Blue Flag for its clean water.
The town of Barbati is developed close to Pantokratoras mountain and from here you have
an unforgettable view over Corfù town and Albania. To reach the beach you have to take the street that from the coast road goes down to the sea.
Behind the beach there is a green area where you can relax under the olive trees shadow.

 

Nisaki  

Type: white pebbles and rocks
Size: small-size, it's lovely and quiet
Facilities: no tourist facilities except a chute to put small boats into the sea
Activities: you can take a boat for rent or play water sports
Food: you will find few restaurants and a bar just on the beach
Description: Nisaki is a small beach with a lovely clean water. On the left side of the beach there is an ideal area for snorkeling near the rocky coast and there are also others lonely small bays.
At an end of the beach there is also a pier from which you can dive into the sea.

 

Kaminaki  

Type: white pebbles
Size: small-size but very wide
Facilities: public showers and beach-umbrellas and deck-chairs for hire
Activities: you can take boats for rent and, during the high season, play water sports
Food: there are no snack bars, but you can relax choosing between two restaurants
Description: Kaminaki is a small bay and it is perfect if you like to discover this part of coast renting a boat.
Kaminaki is not one of the most famous beaches in Corfu, therefore it’s very quiet also in the high season.

 

Agni  

Type: both sand and pebbles
Size: small-size
Facilities: possibility to rent beach-umbrellas and deck-chairs
Food: there are few small restaurants near the beach
Description: Agni is one of the several small beaches in this part of the coast.
The bay is small with a pear where you can take a taxi boat to visit some close beaches.
The sea is very clean and becomes deep quickly.

 

Kalami  

Type: white pebbles and sand
Size: average dimensions and not very wide
Facilities: public toilets with showers and
beach- umbrellas and deck-chairs for rent
Activities: there are two boats rentals and a water sports centre
Food: along the beach and in the village of Kalami you can find restaurants and snack bars.
Description: to reach Kalami you must descend from a hill with a marvellous view over the bay.
From here you can see the small village of Kalami, the beach and a beautiful olive trees forest.
The bay, long as the village of Kalami, is the ideal place if you search for tranquility and a clean sea.

 



Kouloura   Type: pebbles
Size: small-size and not very wide
Facilities: free beach without tourist facilities
Food: there’s nothing near the bay, you must go to the closest Kalami beach that is just 1 km far away
Description: to reach the beach is necessary to follow a lovely path through some olive trees and once
arrived it seems to be in a wild place.
From here you can reach by swimming some desert and unspoilt small beaches.
 

Kerasia   Type: white pebbles
Size: average dimensions
Facilities: public toilets, showers and beach-umbrellas and deck-chairs for rent
Activities: there’s the possibility to rent pedalos and kayak
Food: there’s only one restaurant on the beach, if you want more choice you have to reach the next bay of Aghios Stefanos Sinion
Description: to reach Kerassia bay the road is long and pass through Aghios Stefanou village, but you will be rewarded by its beauty.
Kerasia beach is so beautiful that is included into our top 10 section.
 

Aghios Stefanos Sinion  

Type: both sand and pebbles
Size: it's the small beach of a nice gulf
Facilities: possibility to rent beach-umbrellas and deck-chairs
Activities: there are two different boats rentals
Food: in front of the beach and in the village you can find some restaurants and snack bars
Description: Aghios Stefanos is a small fishermen village developed along the beach.
From the top this small bay is spectacular and it's a landing place perfect to leave the boat.
The beach runs along the coast and it seems smaller than it is really.
From both sides the beach continues and is not very wide but it is quite long.
In this particular town there are a lot of tourists during the high season that arrive with boat tours.

 



Avlaki  

Type: white pebbles
Size: very long and wide
Facilities: there are public toilet with showers and possibility to rent beach-umbrellas and deck-chairs
Activities: you can rent pedalos, kayak and small boats and there is also a sailing school.
Food: there are a couple of restaurants and a snack bar near the beach
Description: Avlaki is the first beach, coming from the town of Corfu, that is not in front of Albania.
In fact the bay is oriented in the direction of Kassiopi, that is just 2 km far from here.
Avlaki bay is very big but never crowded.
During the afternoon the wind raises up and this place becomes perfect for sailing lovers.

 



Kassiopi  

Type: sand and pebbles
Size: there are two bays and the beach closer to the town is wider
Facilities: both beaches offer deck-chairs and
beach-umbrellas for rent, but only the bay close to Kassiopi has toilets and public showers
Activities: there’s a boat rental, a diving centre and
you can also rent pedaloes
Food: you can find several restaurants or snack
bar on the beach and in the tourist village of Kassiopi
Description: Kassiopi is one of the most tourist village in Corfù island.
It was born as a fisherman village, but today it offers everything you can need during your stay in Kerkyra and two different beaches.
The first beach is on the left side of the town, it’s very wide and offers tourist facilities. Moreover the town that is just behind offers every kind of comfort.

The second beach is behind the cape, is smaller but more particular.

 

Imerolia   Type: sand
Size: long and narrow
Facilities: lonely beach without tourist facilities
Food: the nearest restaurants are in Kassiopi, less than one kilometre far
Description: not far from Kassiopi, Imerolia is a narrow strip of sand where you can relax under the sun.
A small pear on your left gives great opportunity if you have a boat.
 

Syki   Type: white small rocks
Size: short and narrow
Facilities: free beach without tourist facilities
Food: you have to go to Kassiopi, about 3 km far
Description: Syki beach is the perfect union between a blue sea and a lonely beach which is never crowded.
Syki bay is very easy to reach; it is along the coast road between Kassiopi and Acharavi.
 

Kalamaki  

Type: sand
Size: long and quiet wide
Facilities: beach-umbrellas and deck-chairs for rent
Activities: pedalos for hire
Food: there’s only one snack bar on the beach
Description: the sea that never becomes deep is the peculiarity of this beach.
If you want to go easier where the sea is deeper, you can walk along the small pear.
By walking and swimming in the sea you can reach a narrow strip of sand that comes up from the water.

 

Aghios Spiridon  

Type: mostly sandy
Size: small-size but wide
Facilities: deck-chairs and beach-umbrellas for rent. There are also public showers and toilets
Activities: you can rent kayak and pedalos
Food: there are some local restaurants and bars near the beach
Description: Aghios Spiridon is a calm beach, far from the coast road.
Very close to the beach there’s a small lake called Andinioti behind of which you can find another small beach.

 
Almyros   Type: sand and pebbles
Size: extremely long and pretty wide
Facilities: some parts of the beach are desert, some others are provided with beach-umbrellas and
deck-chairs

Food: you can find many restaurants and bars about 2 km far from here in the village of Acharavi
Description: Almyros is the Northest beach of Corfu island. In front of you there is a nice view of Albanian coast, while behind you’ll be surrounded by the Mediterranean nature.
 
Acharavi   Type: sand and pebbles
Size: about 3 kilometres long
Facilities: you can find few deck-chairs and beach umbrellas for rent
Activities: there’s the possibility to rent small boats, play water sports and have a diving experience
Food: some restaurants and snack bars are placed along the beach, but you’ll have a bigger choice inside the village
Description: from the main coast road there are different small streets that will bring you towards this beach. Akaravi bay is a very calm place since it is located far from the main road and the low sea level is perfect for children.
